I became passionate about Assistive Technology (AT) after seeing first hand how much of a game changer it was for my boys. Their positive experience with AT encouraged me to retrain in this exciting and ever changing sector. After returning to New Zealand in 2015, I began working in an Auckland Primary School training students with learning differences to effectively use AT. In this environment I again experienced how AT builds confidence, increases independence, and improves academic performance. Using AT it is possible to level the playing field for students with Dyslexia and other learning differences.
